Here To See Our Wide Selection of Maple Bar Stools
Are Maple Bar Stools a Good Choice?
Maple is a terrific type of wood for all kinds of furniture, including
bar stools. It is a very hard wood, making often-used items like a bar
stool much more durable than those made from softer woods. Maple is also
quite beautiful and has been much sought after by furniture makers for
centuries.
Maple has a lighter color than most other woods used to manufacture furniture.
This makes it an ideal choice for homes or businesses with wood décor
that needs lighter coloring to complement the room. You can stay with
the wood motif and still get some color variety by adding a maple bar
stool (or a set of them).
Maple can also come in a reddish color, although this is rarer. This
offers more versatility and, therefore, more choices for you as a bar
stool shopper. The red maple stools typically cost a bit more, but the
price difference is minimal.
Another feature that recommends maple is the grain's similarity to cherry.
Cherry wood has also been highly prized by furniture makers for generations.
You will find some maple bar stools that are stained to match cherry's
color and will be seen by all but experts as cherry (a more expensive
wood).
Because maple is such a hard wood, it is significantly more resistant
to dents, scratches, and abrasions than many other woods used to make
bar stools. This is an important consideration if you plan to put a bar
stool in your home or a business where you anticipate heavy use. This
wood can withstand a lot of abuse.
If you ever wish to use a stain or apply enamel to a maple bar stool,
it's a wood that handles such applications well. It's not the best (being
a hard wood), but the results are often quite beautiful. Many folks opt
for unfinished maple furniture, which is nice by itself. However, it's
a comfort to know that you can change the look later on if you ever want
or need to.
