A variation of this idea is to use the mismatched socks horded inside your dryer instead of t-shirts. This method is more tedious, as it requires a myriad of sewing and more gathering materials, but this type of cushion will liven up a chair like none other. Another cushion idea is to use fabric from baby blankets or family quilts for family or antique focus. For a clean and crisp feel, use fabric from freshly washed, rarely used sheets. An added bonus of using large sheets is that there is still a plethora of material leftover if you make a mistake and need to redo an entire cushion. Truly, the ideas and combinations are endless, so use these ideas and other variations to provide cheap rocking chair cushions with flair for you and your family.
